Zalen “Zee” Crowder is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with advanced training in trauma and integrative mental health. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, abandonment, and adjustment-related concerns, with a clinical approach that prioritizes depth, insight, and sustainable change.
Ms. Crowder holds dual master’s degrees in Business Administration and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level II (CCTP-II), a Certified Career Coach, and has completed a professional certificate in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy. She is also the CEO of The Healing Cornerstone, where she leads the development of innovative, client-centered mental health services. In addition, she is a PhD candidate whose research examines the impact of maternal-inflicted trauma on Black adults.
Zee completed advanced EMDR training under Ricky Greenwald and specialized Brainspotting training under Tracy Gantlin-Monroy, with additional training in Internal Family Systems (IFS). Her work incorporates evidence-based, trauma-focused, and experiential approaches to support emotional processing, self-awareness, and long-term healing.
With extensive experience working with adolescents, adults, families, couples, and groups, Zee supports a wide range of populations, including BIPOC communities, LGBTQIA+ individuals, military and veteran populations, individuals in nontraditional relationship structures, and those living with disabilities. Her work is grounded in cultural awareness and a nuanced understanding of identity, relational dynamics, and generational experiences.
Zee’s approach is person-centered and tailored to each client’s unique needs. She utilizes modalities including CBT, ACT, IFS, EMDR, Brainspotting, DBT-informed interventions, Motivational Interviewing, somatic approaches, and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy approaches. Her work focuses not only on symptom reduction, but on creating meaningful and lasting transformation.
Beyond her clinical work, Zee partners with startups and small to mid-sized organizations to address team dynamics, crisis response, change management, organizational culture, and leadership development. Drawing from her background in both business and mental health, she applies frameworks such as process consultation, appreciative inquiry, and organizational assessment to support sustainable organizational growth and change.
Across all areas of her work, Zee is committed to creating spaces that are grounded, intentional, and responsive, allowing individuals and organizations to move beyond surface-level solutions toward deeper growth and integration.
